AWS Migration Services

De-risking complex cloud transitions with surgical precision and zero business disruption.

Seamless Transitions to the Cloud

Migrating mission-critical databases and applications to the cloud is one of the highest-stakes initiatives an enterprise can undertake. A single unmapped dependency can cause extensive application downtime, while improper security grouping during a migration can expose sensitive corporate data to the public internet for hours before anyone notices.

We utilize the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) framework to de-risk complex migrations systematically. Whether you are moving legacy monoliths, massive data warehouses, or consolidating multiple data centers before a lease expiration deadline, we enforce strict compliance checks and zero-downtime cutover methodologies that protect revenue continuity throughout the entire transition.

Our migration team has successfully moved over 2,000 workloads across industries including banking, healthcare, logistics, and SaaS platforms. We do not treat migration as a technical exercise — we treat it as a business continuity operation where every minute of unplanned downtime has a quantifiable dollar cost attached to it.

When Migration Becomes Urgent

These scenarios indicate your migration needs professional orchestration.

01

Data Center Lease Expiration

Your colocation contract expires in 8 months and renewal costs have doubled. You need a rapid, large-scale migration that evacuates hundreds of servers without disrupting the business operations that depend on them.

02

Stalled DIY Migration

Your internal team started migrating 18 months ago but has only moved 30% of workloads. The remaining 70% are the complex, interconnected systems that nobody wants to touch. Meanwhile, you are paying for both on-premise and cloud infrastructure simultaneously.

03

Post-Acquisition Infrastructure Consolidation

An acquisition delivered three separate data centers running different operating systems, databases, and networking stacks. Consolidating into a single AWS environment requires deep dependency mapping and conflict resolution expertise.

04

Compliance-Driven Cloud Mandate

Your board or regulatory body has mandated cloud adoption for disaster recovery and business continuity compliance. The migration must meet specific RTO/RPO targets while maintaining full audit trails throughout the transition.

What We Deliver

Enterprise-grade AWS capabilities with measurable, outcome-driven results for every engagement.

01

Database Migrations

Securely migrating SQL and NoSQL database engines with minimal to zero downtime using continuous replication strategies. We handle the most complex scenarios — heterogeneous migrations from Oracle to Aurora, massive multi-terabyte SQL Server consolidations, and real-time transactional databases that cannot tolerate even seconds of write interruption.

Oracle and SQL Server to Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL with schema conversion and PL/SQL rewriting
Homogeneous database replication using DMS with ongoing change data capture during cutover windows
Strategic schema refactoring to leverage cloud-native features like auto-scaling read replicas and serverless capacity
Comprehensive data validation frameworks ensuring row-count, checksum, and referential integrity post-migration
02

Application Re-platforming

Upgrading the application runtime environment during migration to immediately capture cloud-native performance benefits. Rather than simply moving a Windows Server VM to EC2, we containerize applications, adopt managed databases, and integrate auto-scaling — transforming a migration into a modernization event.

Containerizing legacy Java and .NET applications for deployment on Amazon ECS or EKS
Replacing self-managed databases with Aurora, DynamoDB, or ElastiCache managed services
Implementing Application Load Balancers with path-based routing and Auto Scaling Group integration
Refactoring monolithic codebases into microservices where the complexity-benefit ratio justifies it
03

Data Center Evacuation

Rapid, large-scale migration programs designed specifically to shut down physical data centers before lease renewal deadlines. We execute wave-based migrations that systematically move 50-200 servers per weekend, maintaining rollback capability at every stage and providing executive progress dashboards updated in real-time.

Mass server migration using AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) with continuous block-level replication
AWS Snowball and Snowball Edge for petabyte-scale offline data transfers when network bandwidth is insufficient
Parallel disaster recovery synchronization providing instant rollback for the first 30 days post-migration
Detailed network cutover playbooks including DNS propagation timing, firewall rule migration, and VPN failover
04

Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Migrations

Transitioning workloads from competing cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) or complex hybrid environments into AWS. We handle the unique challenges of cross-cloud migration including identity federation translation, network topology redesign, and service-equivalent mapping between platform-specific managed services.

Azure VM to EC2 migrations with careful Active Directory and Entra ID federation handling
GCP BigQuery to Amazon Redshift data warehouse transitions with query compatibility testing
Hybrid connectivity design using AWS Direct Connect and Transit Gateway for gradual migration phases
Cross-cloud CI/CD pipeline reconstruction to maintain deployment velocity during the transition period

Phased Migration Execution

A battle-tested methodology for executing complex migrations with zero business disruption.

01

Assess & Discover

We deploy automated discovery agents across your environment to map every server, database, application dependency, and network route. This produces a complete dependency graph and total cost of ownership (TCO) model comparing current state to the optimized AWS target state.

02

Mobilize & Prepare

We build the secure AWS Landing Zone — VPCs, subnets, security groups, IAM roles, and monitoring infrastructure — before touching a single workload. We establish Direct Connect or VPN hybrid connectivity and execute proof-of-concept migrations on non-critical systems to validate the methodology.

03

Migrate in Waves

Workloads are grouped into migration waves based on dependency clustering, business criticality, and technical complexity. Each wave follows a strict playbook: replicate, test, validate, cutover. Low-risk workloads move first to build team confidence before tackling mission-critical systems.

04

Optimize & Decommission

Post-migration, we right-size every instance, implement auto-scaling policies, deploy CloudWatch monitoring dashboards, and configure cost anomaly detection alerts. Only after comprehensive validation do we authorize decommissioning of the legacy source environment.

Industry Applications

Our AWS strategies are aggressively tailored to the unique regulatory, competitive, and operational realities of your specific industry.

Banking & Financial Services

Migrating core banking platforms running on IBM AS/400 and Oracle databases to containerized AWS architectures with encrypted data-at-rest, VPC isolation, and real-time transaction replication — maintaining sub-second failover capabilities mandated by financial regulators.

Manufacturing & Logistics

Evacuating aging factory-floor data centers running SCADA and ERP systems to AWS, including IoT gateway integration using AWS IoT Core. Ensuring operational technology networks remain isolated from corporate IT during and after migration.

SaaS & Technology Companies

Migrating multi-tenant SaaS platforms from single-region deployments to globally distributed AWS architectures using Aurora Global Database and CloudFront — supporting customer data residency requirements across US, EU, and APAC regions simultaneously.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you achieve zero-downtime database migrations?
We use the AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) to continuously replicate data from the source database to the target in real-time. The source remains fully operational throughout. Once DMS reports that replication lag is under one second — meaning the target is virtually identical — we execute a rapid cutover by redirecting the application connection string to the new AWS database. Total write interruption is typically under 30 seconds.
What happens if something goes wrong during a migration wave?
Every migration wave includes a documented rollback procedure tested before the actual cutover. For server migrations, the source environment remains fully intact and operational until we explicitly decommission it (typically 30 days post-migration). For database migrations, DMS reverse-replication can be configured to keep the source updated as a live fallback.
How long does a typical enterprise migration take?
Timelines vary dramatically based on scope. A focused migration of 20-50 servers typically completes in 8-12 weeks including assessment. Large-scale data center evacuations involving hundreds of servers and complex databases span 4-9 months. We always front-load quick wins to demonstrate value within the first 30 days.
Can we continue developing new features during the migration?
Absolutely. Our migration methodology is designed to operate in parallel with your development cycles. We use continuous replication tools that automatically capture changes made to source systems, so your teams can keep shipping features without migration-related code freezes.
